This collection is designed to help researchers study the teachers who worked in Georgia's freedmen's schools from 1865-1870. Many of these educators filed monthly reports to the Superintendent of Education for the State of Georgia Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen, and Abandoned Lands, 1865-1870. In this collection these documents are organized by the individual teacher who filed the report. This archive seeks to make it convenient to trace a single individual's experience working in freedmen's education over several years and often across several counties.
